While the whole tech industry is trying to move forward with the new USB-C standard, Apple is trying to play its part to slow down the transition. According to the report by Macotakara, Apple will stick with Lightning port for 2019 iPhones. Another sad news is that Apple will continue to ship their current slow 5W charger. If you want your iPhone to charge fast, you need to buy their official 12W charger. According to the report, Apple is not ready to give up on Lightning port in order to maintain production costs of its current accessories.

Apple enjoys around $400 USD margin for each iPhone and it looks like they are not happy with the number yet. What do you think?
