The Nest thermostat is a smart learning thermostat  created by one of the designers of the iPod and famously sold in Apple stores.

As such one can not exactly expect that there will be a Windows Phone app for the home automation device, but fortunately there are third party developers to make sure Windows Phone users are not completely left out.

nestappDeveloper Mike Richards has created the Nest Thermostat app for Windows Phone.

The app allows users to set the temperature of your home remotely and also view the current temperature.

The iPhone apps does allow one to do a bit more, include view history and change settings, but for the basic functions needed I think the app will do fine.

The app is free and can be found in the Windows Phone Store here.

See a video of the actual Nest Thermostat after the break.
