Anandtech have done a comprehensive review of some key Windows Phone 7 handsets, including some battery run down tests.

Their testing found the predictable result that larger screens meant more battery drain, and also the surprising result that Super-AMOLED screens did not help much at all.

In the test the LG Optimus 7 did the best, followed by the HTC Surround, and the Samsung Focus bringing up the rear.

Reassuring however is that the battery life in general seems to be no better and no worse that  most of the other handsets out there, including recent ones, but that of course there continues to remain room for improvement.
