Amazon brings Alexa support to the Sonos One in Canada

Amazon has brought Alexa Support to the Sonos one in Canada with a free update.

Now, users in Canada will be able to issue Alexa voice commands and ask for news, weather, and more, just like their US counterparts are able to.

Alexa will also support music services like Amazon Music (obviously), and Spotify among others.

Despite being in North America, Canada gets quite the short shrift when it comes to the launching of virtual products. Microsoft’s Cortana only became available for iOS and Android in Canada months after it launched elsewhere. Similarly, Apple’s HomePod is not yet available over in Canada.
