Kodi, a media player app that started out as Xbox Media Center (XBMC), appears to have made its way to Xbox One consoles, at least in specific regions.

Reddit users from parts of Europe like the United Kingdom and Switzerland have been able to download Kodi 18.0-alpha1 on their Xbox One systems. Another user from Portugal was also able to download the same version. Unfortunately, it looks like those of us in the United States can’t install it just yet, as searching for it on the Microsoft Store only brings up version 17.6 that is only available on PC.

As Windows Central notes, the alpha version of Kodi that has shown up for some users on Xbox appears to support a ton of features from the Windows 10 version. It is a UWP app, so this may indicate that it’s getting ready to roll out for a wider release.

Aside from appealing to cord-cutters, Kodi is also infamous for allowing people to download third-party plug-ins that illegally stream television and movies.

Let us know if you’ve been able to access this version of Kodi and how it works for you.
