Waiting for a flagship smartphone on T-Mobile for Windows 10? Your wishes may have just come true. Alcatel has just announced the Alcatel Idol 4S for Windows 10 coming to T-Mobile (USA) from November 10.
The device is the long awaited Alcatel “Superphone” and come with competitive specs for today’s smartphone market such as a beefy Snapdragon 820 processor, support for Alcatel’s bundled VR headset as well as support for T-Mobile’s network (it is a phone after all,)
Microsoft and Alcatel are positioning this as their Windows 10 Consumer flagship for 2016, with the former stating:
“Enhanced security and enterprise-level productivity solutions are key features within Windows 10, but there have been few options in the U.S. market that combine this operating system with a powerful, experience-rich smartphone,” said Steve Cistulli, president and general manager for Alcatel, North America. “We’re proud to collaborate with T-Mobile and Microsoft to launch the IDOL 4S with Windows 10, delivering a value-packed smartphone experience that is unmatched in the U.S. market, finally bringing to life the full potential of what a high performance Windows 10 smartphone experience can be.”
Users who purchase the phone will receive a few freebies for the price. Alcatel and T-Mobile are offering a free 45 day trial for Hulu Plus, a 30 day trial for Microsoft’s (excellent) Groove Music service, and a free copy of Halo: Spartan Assault.
The Alcatel Idol 4S also supports Microsoft’ Continuum feature. While it doesn;t have its own dock, you may make use of Microsoft’s own USB type C dock or even use Miracast to wirelessly project to your Windows 10 PC for continuum.
