Acer confirms once again they will deliver a Windows Phone 8 handset next year

Last we heard Acer was planning to deliver a Windows Phone 8 handset in the second half od 2013.

Now company president Jim Wong has said they plan to release 6 handsets next year, 5 Android and one running Windows Phone 8.

The high-end handset will be running a Qualcomm Dual-core processor.

Acer will be marketing its handsets in Europe through carriers and also normal retail channels, and will also be distributing them in emerging markets around the world.

Acer also plans to outsource the production of smartphones mainly to Qisda and Compal Communications in 2013 for consistency in design, he said.
