We found out Ace Combat 7’s Xbox One version potentially existing earlier this month when a board from Taiwan rated the game for both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4. At the time it wasn’t clear if it was going to happen or not, but we’ve finally got some official confirmation. Bandai Namco released a brand new trailer for the game today, confirming that the game is coming to both the Xbox One and Windows PCs (via Steam). You can check out the trailer below.

Ace Combat 7 is the first traditional game in the Ace Combat series since Ace Combat 6 arrived on the Xbox 360 as an exclusive game back in 2007. Since then both Ace Combat: Assault Horizon and Ace Combat Infinity arrived, but both were major departures from the main numbered games, which were serious flight simulators.

Ace Combat 7 was announced as a PlayStation 4 exclusive a few years ago, and it does seem like the game’s VR functionality will remain exclusive to it. While we originally speculated that VR support could come to the game on an update for Project Scorpio, no VR functionality is coming to the game’s PC version either. According to the game’s Amazon page, “Virtual Combat” missions are made exclusively for PSVR.

You can pre-order Ace Combat 7 for the Xbox One on Amazon here. At this point in time, the release date is a placeholder, and the game will arrive at an earlier time this year.
