Specter, the 3rd party Snapchat app for Windows Phone has seen another update in the Windows Store, taking it to version 1.6.

The update has brought support for an important Snapchat feature – Snapchat stories, which last a bit longer than the usual ephemeral Snapchat message, with users now able to post the them.

The changelog reads:

  • 1.6.0 – posting to my day implemented

The app currently supports:

  • login with your existing account
  • send image and video messages
  • receive text, image and video messages
  • mark messages as viewed, screenshot or replayed
  • send or accept friend requests
  • delete or block friends
  • view and post day messages
  • add text on top of images and videos with built-in editor

The following features are planned:

  • creating new accounts
  • saving messages to history (and syncing with OneDrive)
  • camera on the first page
  • better viewing of messages
  • notifications
  • swipe actions
  • login via Windows Hello™
