Popular VOIP app Viber has beenpromising a Windows 10 app for some time.  The company opened registration for a closed beta of the app in February this year, and it appears the app is now in active development, with a company representative telling those who were accepted to the beta that the app has been submitted to the Windows Store.

Viber features:

  • Text with your friends and make free calls with HD sound quality
  • Send stickers, emoticons, photos and locations
  • Download stickers from the Sticker Market, making messaging fun!
  • Hold & Talk – instant voice messages. Your friend will hear you as you speak!
  • Live Tiles, lock screen notifications, and the ability to pin chats to the home screen
  • Select chat backgrounds from the background gallery
  • Full sync between your mobile phone and computer

It is believed the Universal Windows App will also support video calling and end to end encryption.
