Copying Snapchat is en vogue, and Twitter is joining the party, according to a report from CNBC.

Twitter is planning to launch a new camera-centric feature which has its focus on video and imaging, building up on its moments feature to change the platform to something similar to Snapchat’s Discover feature.

Users and publishers would be able to create image and video-based content that would show up in the feed.

For public events, you’d be able to gain a broader context for the man on the ground style coverage by looking at what people around the event are tweeting.

CNBC reports that the feature is still up in the air, as it is still in early development. Like all features, it could be scrapped, or delayed, or changed so as to be unrecognisable upon release.
