Telegram for Windows Phone has seen another updated to version 1.24. The update brings improved support for the company’s Bot API, which has been available since June 2015.

The changelog reads:

Bot API 2.0, the largest since June 2015. Try these examples of the bot platform update to see what is coming: @music, @sticker, @youtube, @foursquare

The new bots show off features of the new Bot platform. @music,is a bot for searching for and sharing classical music; @youtube, a bot for searching and sharing YouTube videos; @foursquare, a bot for finding nearby restaurants and places to share addresses with friends; and @sticker, a bot for finding stickers using emoji as the start point for a sticker search.

The new API makes it easier for users to interact with bots by allowing bots to edit their messages and offer custom buttons, meaning bots can create a meaningful UI instead of making everything text based.  Telegram says about 20% of their traffic is now interaction with bots.

You can get the company’s Windows Phone app here and the desktop app here.
