Samsung have faced their fair share of problems with their Galaxy Fold, with screens breaking after days of use. After evidence of design flaws emerged, the tech giant were forced to delay its release until further notice.
Devices that were sent out to early reviewers were collected once again, in an optimistic attempt to re-engineer the major design flaws.
During their earnings call Samsung has revealed that they will soon let potential buyers know when the device will be released again. That announcement is expected in “weeks”, but when the actual device will be released is itself not clear. It seems unlikely that Samsung will be able to engineer around the deep design flaws in the handset in only a few weeks.
Samsung still remains confident that they will create a new category of devices, and are adamant that it will find a place as a premium device for consumers looking for a new kind of experience.
AT&T has set their own release date of June 13th, despite Samsung not confirming this. This date is, therefore, expected to change closer to the time.
