Back in October, Facebook announced that the company is working on new UWPs for its Messenger and Instagram apps. Today, screenshots of the company’s upcoming Messenger app for Windows 10 leaked, giving us the first look at its new Windows 10 app. The screenshots don’t show off much other than the user interface, which, in my opinion, looks pretty sexy (probably looks better without the hideous watermarks). Here are the screenshots:

Here are the reported features of the app:

  • Find out right away when you have messages waiting with a live tile.
  • Post photos, videos, GIFs, and more.
  • Soul your conversations with stickers.
  • Know when people have seen your messages.
  • Create groups for people you email most messages, attribute names and sets their group photos.
  • Forward messages or photos to people who are not part of the conversation.
  • Search people and groups in order to respond quickly.

We assume Microsoft and Facebook will launch these apps at Build 2016, which we will be attending later this month. Until then, tell us what you think of the upcoming Messenger app for Windows 10 in the comment section below.
