ZEISS is a leader in the fields of optics and optoelectronics. Today, ZEISS announced a multi-year strategic partnership with Microsoft to accelerate its transformation into a digital services provider. As part of this partnership, ZEISS has selected Microsoft Azure as its preferred cloud platform. ZEISS will make use Azure’s high-performance compute, AI, and IoT services. It will also manage all digital products through one cloud-native platform to enhance continuous and agile product development.
ZEISS will work with Microsoft to provide original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) with new quality management solutions, enable microchip manufacturers to build more powerful, energy-efficient microchips and deliver new digital healthcare solutions for improved clinical workflows, enhanced treatments, and device maintenance.
Microsoft’s datacenter regions around the world will help meet the regional needs of ZEISS’ customers without compromising on privacy and resiliency standards. Microsoft now has 63 cloud regions around the world.
