Google is preparing to launch its YouTube Music service in the Middle East and North Africa, according to a report from TechRadar today

“YouTube Music is a new music streaming service made for music: official songs, albums, thousands of playlists and artist radio plus YouTube’s tremendous catalogue of remixes, live performances, covers and music videos that you can’t find anywhere else – all simply organized and personalized. For the first time, all the ways music moves you can be found in one place,” Google explained upon launching the service last year. It has brought it to more countries over time but has still not reached the breadth that Spotify or Apple Musc have in terms of availability

Google is set to announce this move in September when it holds a music-related event in Dubai. The firm has also slowly been adding new features to its app, including a toggle to always play music instead of videos, support for on-device music files, and smart downloads.

Alongside the music service, Google also sells YouTube Premium, an option which offers ad-free YouTube Videos and background play on iOS and Android as well as access to premium Youtube content.
