Microsoft recently added colorful contact icons to the Outlook Mail and Calendar app in Windows 10 for those in the Insider program. Today, the company is rolling out a new update to the app that adds a neat toggle which will let you remove the sender pictures or  contact icons from the message list in case you don’t like them. The feature is obviously enabled by default as a lot of users seem to like the new feature, but if you don’t want to see sender pictures in the message list, simply open the app’s settings. From there, go to the Reading section and you can disable the sender pictures in the message list from there.

Here is a GIF showing off the toggle in action:

The new update is only available for Windows Insiders at the moment. It seems like the update is available for the Fast Ring and the Slow Ring. As for everyone else, Microsoft will likely roll out the update in a couple of weeks or even days if it doesn’t hit any serious issues. If you are a Windows Insider in the Fast Ring or the Slow Ring, you can get the latest update for the Outlook Mail and Calendar app from the link below. The latest version for the app is 17.8013.42367.0, in case you are wondering.
