Anthropic AI has finally made Claude 3 Opus, the most powerful model available in the market, available on Amazon Bedrock, AWS’ platform to build gen AI apps.

Claude 3 Opus arrived earlier in March this year. Anthropic said that the model could outclass OpenAI’s GPT-4 in several benchmarks, including MMLU, GPQA & Diamond, MATH, HumanEval, and more. Although, Reka AI has recently claimed that its new Reka Core model can outperform Claude 3 Opus in “multimodal human evaluation.”

“It can navigate open-ended prompts and sight-unseen scenarios with remarkable fluency and human-like understanding, leading the frontier of general intelligence,” AWS boasts in the announcement on Tuesday, saying that the model is currently available only in US West (Oregon).

Claude 3 Opus is a part of the Claude 3 family, consisting of its two siblings: the balanced Claude 3 Sonnet and the faster Claude 3 Haiku. The two models were the first to arrive on Bedrock in. Now, you can request access separately for Claude 3 Opus on Model Access on the Amazon Bedrock console.

The Claude 3 family boasts a promising 200k token context window, but Claude 3 Opus takes the cake with its “near-human levels of comprehension and fluency on complex tasks.” The company then said that all the models can accept inputs exceeding 1 million tokens.
