You can now share large files directly from your Skype chat, thanks to the new OneDrive integration. Using the new OneDrive add-in, you can easily browse, search, and share OneDrive files into Skype chats. If the receiver is on a mobile device with OneDrive app installed, the link will open directly in the app. If not, the link will open in the OneDrive website.

Here’s how to share the link to a OneDrive file, photo or folder in Skype:

  1. Go to the 1:1 or group chat you want to share to.
  2. Select the Add-ins button.
  3. Select OneDrive.
  4. Select the file, photo or folder you would like to share a link to in your Skype chat.
  5. Select Send to confirm sharing the link.

This new OneDrive integration in Skype is available in all markets, languages, and platforms except Mac and Linux.
