Xbox Game Pass might become the standard way to buy and play games in the future. According to the latest reports, Xbox Game Pass engagement has experienced a 22% growth this year so far, compared to 2022. The Xbox Game Pass also helped grow overall Xbox content revenue by 5% in the quarter ended June 30.

This means that people find Xbox Games Pass as a far more suitable solution to buy and play games on PC and Xbox, than purchasing each game separately. If this trend continues, there is a strong chance Xbox Game Pass will become the standard way to purchase video games.

Is this a good thing? Or not? While we can’t answer these questions, it’s very easy to understand why people love Xbox Games Pass. It comes in different versions to suit each budget, and you can still access hundreds of games on your device of choice: PC or Xbox.

The monthly subscription is affordable. For example, if you buy a $69 game for PC or Xbox, you can pay up for 4 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, or 7 months of Xbox Game Pass Standard.

1 Video game vs hundreds of video games. It’s no wonder Xbox Game Pass will only grow in popularity as time goes on.

Plus, Microsoft is constantly updating the library, so each month, there are new games on the platform. And recently, the Redmond-based tech giant announced that over 1500 new games are in development for the console.

And with Starfield coming to Xbox, which is one of the most anticipated games in recent history, Xbox Game Pass’ popularity will only increase from here.

It’s only going to improve once Starfield comes out. Personally, I’ve been using GP Ultimate a hell of a lot more this year than last (don’t really know why).
