HP was one of the few companies who decided to build Windows-based smartphone despite the fact that Windows Phone didn’t see much success and while HP’s smartphone strategy was ambitious, Microsoft quickly abandoned the Windows Phone platform. That basically put an end to HP’s smartphone strategy.
The announcement of the demise of the Windows Phone platform came at a time when HP was preparing a successor to its not-so-well received Windows Phone, HP Elite x3. According to various reports, the Elite x3 successor was internally called Elite Pro x3, which never got the chance to showcase what it can do, thanks to Microsoft.
Although HP’s Elite Pro x3 never really made an appearance at any public event after the MWC 2017, @Hikari_Calyx has managed to give us a glimpse of what the smartphone looks like. Most importantly, it gives us a detailed view as you can see in the below images.
The unreleased Elite Pro x3 features an unknown IPS display, with 1080×1920 screen resolution and has 4GB RAM, at least 32GB of built-in storage. And powering HP’s Elite Pro x3 smartphone is Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 MSM8996.
