Comscore has released some numbers showing that Windows Mobile is still far from irrelevant in Europe.
While the Nokia still dominates the market there, with 54.4% of the market, amongst the rest Windows Mobile is second only to the iPhone in general, with around 19 vs 12%. In Spain and Italy, Windows Mobile is in fact the second biggest mobile OS, with 11.4 vs 9.8% in Italy, and 11.9 vs 8.6% in Spain.
Overall in Europe RIM and Android only have 8% and 6% respectively of the market.
