According to latest data from Netmarketshare, Windows 7 reached a new peak of 60.98% in the worldwide desktop marketshare. It is up 3.2% from the month of May. Also, Windows 8.1 increased its market share to 13.12%, up 0.24% from 12.88% last month. Windows XP was the biggest loser with about 11.98% market share, down from 14.6% last month. Windows Vista fell to a new low of 1.62%, but it is still higher than Linux’ market share of 1.61%.
