Microsoft is today bringing the Windows 10 Creators Update to the Windows Insider program’s Release Preview ring for Mobile devices. The company was supposed to start rolling out the Creators Update to the public today, but it’s instead of releasing it to Windows Insiders in the Release Preview ring for now which means if you are not part of the Windows Insider program, you will have to wait a bit longer for the Creators Update.
There’s another catch with the Creators Update on Windows 10 Mobile devices: not all Windows Phone devices are getting the update. As Microsoft recently announced, only some Windows 10 Mobile devices will be getting the Creators Update — which are listed below:
- HP Elite x3
- Microsoft Lumia 550
- Microsoft Lumia 640/640XL
- Microsoft Lumia 650
- Microsoft Lumia 950/950 XL
- Alcatel IDOL 4S
- Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL
- SoftBank 503LV
- VAIO Phone Biz
- MouseComputer MADOSMA Q601
- Trinity NuAns NEO
If you are a Windows Insider in the Release Preview ring and own any of the above devices, you should be able to get the update (build 15063.251) right now. And we’ll make sure to let you know once the update is generally available.
