WhatsApp is rolling out a new update to its beta channel for Android users which brings an option to reply privately to users. The latest update bumps the app to v2.18.335 and brings the following new changes.

  • Reply privately- With the new update, users can now reply to other users privately in a group chat. To use this feature, you will need to select the message you want to reply to and click on three-dots on top (…) and select “Reply Privately”.

The new update also comes with a nasty bug that crashes WhatsApp when trying to delete a media file in the chat. WhatsApp is expected to roll out the new features to the public soon. In the meantime, you could sign up for WhatsApp beta but the media bug would be a problem for some.
