Microsoft has introduced a new Recall feature that aims to help users remember where they were without the need for taking notes or leaving browser tabs open. Mehdi explained that Recall is designed to assist users in recalling moments on their PC, making it easier to get through tasks. Hernandez demonstrated how Recall allows users to access anything they have seen on their PC, similar to having a photographic memory. The feature is currently only available on advanced PCs, and it enables users to search for something they viewed weeks ago, including items from Discord chats.

Recall creates associations between colors, images, and more. This allows you to use natural language to find what you were working on before. If this works as well as Microsoft is showing, it’s like having a search engine on your PC for everything you’ve ever done on it.

There are more than 40 AI models in this new Windows Copilot Runtime that powers features like Recall.
