Key notes
- Microsoft is adding AI-powered tools to SharePoint for easier data analysis.
- These LLM-powered tools provide insights and suggest actions based on data.
- The feature will be available for testing before a full rollout by the end of April 2024.
Microsoft is expanding its AI features once again. Besides increasing Copilot image generator limit, folks over at Redmond is set to roll out an interesting new feature for SharePoint that will make data analysis a whole lot easier.
Basically, they’re introducing AI-powered tools that administrators can use to dive deep into their SharePoint data. These data analysis tools, which are powered by LLM (large language model), will not only provide insights into the data but also suggest actions based on those insights.
As spotted from Microsoft 365 Roadmap site under Feature ID: 388376, this feature will be available for testing first before it’s fully rolled out to everyone worldwide later by the end of this month (April 2024).
SharePoint is a platform by Microsoft where teams can store, share, and work on documents and projects together. It’s like a central hub for all your team’s files and information, making it easy to collaborate and stay organized.
And as we previously reported, Copilot for Security and Copilot in Intune has also arrived starting Monday, April 1, for public preview. The latter somewhat has a similar feature: you can ask AI to provide summaries of management and security policies.
