Microsoft has announced that it will be launching a public preview of Copilot in Intune on April 1st. This new service helps administrators troubleshoot and resolve issues with endpoint products more efficiently.

Copilot in Intune is designed to provide AI-generated summaries of management and security policies, which basically simplifies the process of understanding complex details for both experienced and especially new administrators. It also offers guidance for each setting on an Intune-managed device, reducing the need for lengthy manual and documentation searches.

One of the features of Copilot that I liked the most about Intune is its ability to quickly analyze error codes associated with apps, policies, updates, scripts, or enrollments and compare device settings to identify what could be potential misconfigurations. When you look at it, this feature saves administrators time and makes endpoint management more straightforward.

In addition to its standalone capabilities, Copilot in Intune can also be used in with Copilot for Security, which is also coming out on April 1st. This integration allows administrators to retrieve information and user properties for a device and analyze it to detect any suspected or compromised devices.

The public preview of Copilot in Intune will be available to companies that are already subscribed to Copilot for Security. The duration of the public preview has not yet been announced.
