Have you ever wanted a laptop that sounds like a car when it boots up? Yes? Well, the latest laptop from Vaio does just that. The laptop maker is teaming up with Mercedes-Benz for a special edition of its Vaio Z Flip device and the main difference between these two variants is the boot-up sound and all the Mercedes-Benz logos.  The boot-up sound is exactly how you would expect a car engine’s to sound, and it’ll be quite amusing to listen to everytime you start up your laptop:

In terms of the specs, you get the usual Intel Core processors, but the device actually comes with the 6th gen Intel Core processors which might be a bit disappointing. There’s a 13.3-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels, and that’s about it. As I’ve already stated, the main difference between the special edition and the normal Vaio Z Flip is the Mercedes-Benz branding that you get to see throughout the device. There’s a Mercedes-Benz logo engraved into the trackpad, there’s a car engraved on the back of the device, and the name of the car manufacturer is also engraved into the hinge — just above the keyboard for some reason.

If you are a car lover, the special edition Vaio Z Flip is quite an intriguing device. But don’t get your hopes up just yet — this product is only available for car lovers in Japan, and if you happen to be one of them, you can grab it from Amazon Japan right now where prices start at ¥250,000. And if you are in the United States, you can get the Vaio Z Flip Signature Edition from the Microsoft Store where the Core i7 variant is selling for $1,299.
