Here’s some good news. You’ll soon be able to use Venmo on Xbox as a payment option to purchase games, apps, and other digital content, as well as on the Microsoft Store in the coming months, exclusively in the US.

This is fantastic, particularly given Venmo’s strong online presence in the US. The added benefit is that users will now have the option to purchase subscriptions such as Xbox Game Pass or the new Xbox Game Pass Core, and even split payments when making purchases. Until now, you can only use Venmo Mastercard or buy Xbox gift cards to purchase a game for your green console.

To use Venmo on Xbox, you can click on the Venmo option when checking out from Microsoft Store on your Xbox. Additionally, the Venmo app will also be available for download on the console.

In addition to Venmo, Microsoft is also adding PayPal Pay Later as a payment option in the Microsoft Store as a part of this agreement. PayPal Pay Later allows you to pay for your purchases over time in fixed installments. This can be a convenient way to pay for larger purchases, such as new games or consoles, and is rolling out to users in the US, UK, Australia, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy.

Speaking of which, the Redmond-based tech giant has also rolled out a new Xbox Home screen, and it’s not going quite well as many gamers seem to be furious about it.

What are your thoughts on Microsoft partnering up with PayPal to let gamers use Venmo on Xbox to purchase content? Have you tried this? Let us know in the comments!
