Uber has updated their Microsoft Store app to a Progressive Web App after their UWP app became unsupported in on the 1st July this year.
The app is simply a version of Uber’s mobile website (which can be seen here), but should nevertheless be more reliable than the UWP app, which had a large number of issues.
The app works on both desktop and mobile, but note on Windows Phone the app will not work in the background as the OS lacks service workers.
