Twitter has rolled out a new update for Android devices which brings new UI changes to the public app. Twitter began beta testing the new UI back in May and has finally rolled it out to everyone today.

With the latest update, the navigation bars have moved to the bottom of the app. Twitter revealed that the change in placement of the navigation bars will let users navigate with ease. However, it comes at an expense of being able to swipe between tabs.

Twitter has also added two options in the Notifications tab to allow users to access mentions with ease. Users can swipe between “All” and the “Mentions” tab with ease. The action bar that mentions what part of the app you’re in and what account you are logged into disappears when scrolling. This was a server-side update which began rolling earlier this week.

If you own an Android device then you can head to the Play Store to get the latest app update. Do let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
