Since the Creators Update rolled out to Xbox One owners a few weeks ago, numerous customers have reported problems such as some stuttering in the interface, broken text, My games & apps not loading cover images properly, and much more. We here at MSPoweruser have also experienced countless issues including a glitch where the Xbox One Home screen forgets recently-opened programs and shows the default tutorial video.

Well, there may be good news for those experiencing similar problems. A new Xbox One update rolled out to all owners today, May 5, and is supposed to improve the console’s performance and stability. While it’s unclear which bugs this patch squashed, it’s still a good sign that Microsoft knows the OS needs more work. The somewhat unhelpful patch notes are as follows:

OS version: 10.0.15063.2022 (RS2_RELEASE_XBOX_1704.170501-1052) Release date

05/05/2017

Performance and General Improvements

Miscellaneous

General stability and performance improvements.

Hopefully this fixes a lot of the problems because some of them are so severe that they warrant a factory reset. If we have additional information about this update we’ll share it with you as well as our experiences if they’re eventful. Until then, be sure to check for updates on your Xbox One and get the latest software!
