If you use your Surface Laptop as your main PC but enjoy the use of a large screen and proper keyboard when at your desk at home or office you may want to use an easy to attach port replicator to make it simply to connect the bevvy of cables required.

Microsoft’s official Surface Dock is a pricy $199.99, but there are much cheaper solutions available, including the excellent CruzHUB Surface Laptop and Surface Laptop 2 port replicator, which only costs $75.

The dock, which is designed specifically for the Surface Laptop and Surface Laptop 2 and conforms to the Surface Laptop’s body, allows users to connect an HDMI 4K monitor for an additional video output (HDMI 2.0),  two USB 3.0 ports with up to 5Gbps transfer speeds, both SD and Micro SD memory inputs for quick memory card reading and writing, a Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) and extends the audio auxiliary input, meaning no ports or features are compromised.

The device has a 4/5 star rating on Amazon, but appears to be out of stock there.

It is however available at JuicedSystem’s website here where it comes with a travel case and one year warranty.

Thanks Dylan for the tip.
