Sonic the Hedgehog has finally seen the release of its first trailer.

Starring Jim Carrey as Dr Ivo Robotnik and Ben Schwartz as the titular Sonic, many believe that this movie should have stayed in pre-production. After watching that trailer, I’m inclined to think the same.

Not only does the new Sonic the Hedgehog not feel like anything in the Sonic IP, but it also lays claim to the weirdest use of Gangsta’s Paradise in the history of entertainment.

Sonic the Hedgehog launches this November. It’ll probably be a trainwreck I’m dying to see. Let’s hope the Minecraft, Mega Man and Monster Hunter movies turn out better.
