Another month, another set of free games for all PlayStation Plus subscribers.

As of September 3rd, all PlayStation Plus members can pick up Batman: Arkham Knight and Darksiders III for the low low price of no charge.

Batman: Arkham Knight is the 2015 successor to the 2013 Batman: Arkham Origins and the fourth main instalment in the Batman: Arkham series.

The game follows the caped crusader as he struggles to come to terms with the death of his greatest nemesis, Joker. However, Batman’s brooding is interrupted by supervillain Scarecrow, who attacks Gotham City, leading to the city’s evacuation.

In the wake of the evacuation, Scarecrow manages to band together some of Batman’s most fearsome foes, leading to one of the greatest showdowns in the dark knight’s history.

Everyone’s favourite bat-themed hero isn’t alone, however. He has plenty of allies by his side, including Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman, Barbara Gordon, everyone’s favourite butler Alfred, and many others.

Darksiders III is a hack and slash action adventure videogame that’s a sequel to Darksiders II and, if the name didn’t give it away already, is the third instalment in the Darksiders series. The game takes place at the same time as its predecessor and all events occur before the majority of Darksiders.

In Darksiders III, you play as Fury, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Fury is summoned by the Charred Council and given a quest to find the Seven Deadly Sins, who are apparently running amok on a post-apocalyptic Earth.

Fury finds herself caught up in a scheme of lies and, well, sins, and it’s up to her to work out what’s really going on while continuing with her quest. Ain’t no rest for the wicked, as they say.

Both games will be available for download for all PlayStation Plus subscribers from between September 3rd and September 30th.

In the meantime, you can still pick up August’s PlayStation Plus titles (WipEout Omega Collection and Sniper Elite 4) until September 2nd.
