Oculus Rift S

At the Game Developers Conference (GDC) last month, Facebook’s Oculus announced their latest VR headset, the Oculus Rift S. This new VR headset is now available for pre-order from Microsoft Store for $399. The release date of this headset is mentioned as May 21, 2019.

The headset is a significant improvement over the previous generation, with a new high resolution 2560×1440 screen with improved optics, face slider IPD adjustment, improved ergonomics, and most importantly Inside Out Tracking, like Windows Mixed Reality headsets, meaning you now no longer need beacons and lighthouses. The headset features a full 5 cameras for as large and reliable tracking as possible.

The headset uses the same controllers as the Oculus Quest, but would not be compatible with the original Touch Controllers.

You can pre-order it here from Microsoft Store.
