Ubergizmo reports that, at long last, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf chain of coffee shops have started rolling out Qi wireless chargers in their shops.

The chargers will become available first in San Francisco and will hopefully roll out more widely later.

The Qi wireless charging standard took an early lead in establishing itself as the de facto standard, but is now facing an uphill struggle against a Google-led consortium which is also supported by major coffee shop chain Starbucks, who have also been installing chargers.

It will remain to be seen which standard will win out, but for now if you are in San Francisco you can sip some tea and have your phone sip some current in selected locations at the same time.
