Telstra says Nokia Lumia 920 demand “beyond amazing”, “globally higher than expected”

We posted yesterday about how the Nokia Lumia 920 sold out in less than a day on pre-order on Telstra.

Now Telstra reps on twitter has admitted demand has been much higher than expected, calling it “beyond amazing” and not just in Australia but also “globally higher than expected.”

The unfortunate corollary was also that “stock has been limited globally”  suggesting that if the phone is not in short supply in your area already it may soon be.

I am sure all of this is welcome news to beleaguered Nokia investors. As before we are now a bit gun-shy of predicting a hit but this is certainly better news than expected.
