TCL has joined the folding phone bandwagon, showing off a number of new designs for folding handsets at MWC 2019.

Two specific concept devices were shown off – one looking like a somewhat better version of the Galaxy Fold with an external screen and a folding internal screen, with much less bezels than Samsung’s Galaxy Fold.

The design is based on the DragonHinge technology which allows a 2K screen in a folding form fact. TCL also showed off a fliphone-like device which is small but thick when closed, but opens to the size of a normal handset when opened.

So far the designs are simply concepts, and it would require an OEM partner to actually purchase them.
