Tana, a productivity startup, has recently raised $25 million to simplify work processes by organizing tasks and information.
The app, as mentioned in its press release, already has a waitlist of 160,000 users that includes Fortune 500 companies. The funding then will go to develop the app’s automated knowledge graph for work with backing from notable investors, including Google and Dropbox founders.
Tana, which is initially aimed at both individuals and teams, lets you organize and transform unstructured data into actionable actions by transcribing conversations, voice memos, and more. Its AI feature, which includes Supertag, lets you structure information better and integrate with tools like Zoom.
“I think of Tana as a tool catalog,” CEO Tarjei Vassbotn said in an interview, as quoted by TechCrunch.
“If all of those tools have their own AI agent, how on earth are they going to be able to collaborate? So youโre basically just ending up copying and pasting and having disparate information that is out of sync everywhere. That is sort of the core problem weโre trying to solve,” he continued.
Elsewhere in tech startup-related news, DeepSeek, a Chinese AI startup that developed a cost-effective AI model, has also gained traction in Europe. Its affordability, estimated to be 20 to 40 times cheaper than OpenAI’s models, has attracted early adopters like NetMind.AI and Empatik AI.
Cushion, a fintech startup aimed at automating bank fee negotiations, has closed its doors after eight years of operation and over $20 million in funding.
