The Nokia Lumia 900 has just become available on O2 Germany, which must vex T-Mobile Germany subscribers even more, as the German network has decided not to carry the device.
Now T-Mobile support staff has gotten back to petitioning subscribers with an explanation for the move, saying:
So here I am. And this time I’m in a bit more baggage than just a "… it will not happen." But I’m starting at the beginning: There will be the Lumia in our 900! I was really down to the wheel and have placed your request in different places. To make out that the interest is still very large. And I got a reason why we can not offer the device. And this is for me definitely understandable and absolutely stinging:
We will not take the Lumia 900 in our product range as it is not software-update-enabled.What that means is if the new WP 8 should come in the fourth quarter of 2012, which will not be updated Lumia 900th And let’s be honest: Who among us would not be upset if he has a quasi-brand-new phone Niegel, but can not use the latest software? Then the symptoms would certainly again higher multiples.
With our decision because we are not alone. Certainly were for other suppliers of these facts the trigger for the decision, the unit is not included in the product range.
I hope I was able to give you a little more information and you can better understand why we have decided against the device. Meike
The explanation does make sense, but of course one can still question how much customer support staff really know. Either way it should all become clear pretty soon.
