Microsoft today day announced that Symantec has selected Microsoft Azure to power its Norton consumer security products which is being used by over 50 million people. By adopting Azure, Symantec can increase their performance, agility and security while reducing the operating expenses. During the migration process, Symantec developed new cloud services, and migrated over 105 critical consumer digital safety capabilities such as reputation scoring, security telemetry and advanced threat protection to Azure.

In addition, Symantec is working with Microsoft to bring its e-commerce system to Azure. They are also planning to use the Microsoft Cloud for their internal IT services.
