Microsoft today released an update for SwiftKey app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices, taking the 3rd party iOS keyboard to version 2.1.2.

The main headline feature is the ability to create a Swiftkey account using your Microsoft Outlook email AKA your Microsoft Account.

This is, of course, interesting because Microsoft has promised that Swiftkey would eventually allow a cloud clipboard with synching between the keyboard and your Windows 10 PC.

Support for your MSA is likely another step along the way, with version 2.1.1 bringing a more advanced clipboard which could save multiple snippets of text.

More mundanely the update also fixed a number iOS bugs which have been driving iPhone 8 users mad and also addresses some accessibility bugs.

Download the update here from App Store. If you want an early peek at the development process Swiftkey is inviting users to apply for beta access here.
