Exactly on time, as promised the Surface Pro LTE is now available to corporate customers.
Microsoft Germany made the announcement via a press release on their site, saying the hybrid laptop can now be purchased via authorised Surface sales partners.
“Surface Pro with LTE Advanced has been specially optimized for the Modern Workplace,” says Robin Wittland, Head of Business Unit Windows and Devices at Microsoft Germany. “It combines a particularly fast Internet connection with the usual advantages of Surface in terms of processing, security and performance – regardless of where.”
Surface Pro with LTE Advanced offers Cat 9 speed and supports 20 LTE frequency bands, making the most of the mobile network. The versatile laptop comes in two different configurations: The i5 Intel® Core ™ processor, 128 GB SSD and 4 GB RAM are available at a price of € 1,329 (VAT included). The model with i5 Intel® Core ™ processor, 256 GB of SSD storage and 8 GB of RAM costs € 1,629 (VAT included).
Microsoft is targeting companies rather consumers, where always-on connectivity and manageability is more important than cost.
Microsoft notes the Surface Pro with LTE Advanced rounds out their family of ultimate laptops, giving businesses options to meet the needs of everyone in their workforce.
