Just yesterday, Microsoft released a new firmware update for the Surface Pro 3. Today, the company has published the official changelog for the update, revealing some of the improvements that come with the firmware update. According to the changelog, the firmware update introduces improved stability and performance when changing between power states on the Pro 3. Additionally, the update also introduces improved system stability for Surface Pen on the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.

  • Surface Pro UEFI – v3.11.1550.0 improves stability and performance when changing between power states.
  • Surface Pen Settings – v12.0.303.1 improves system stability with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.

While it doesn’t seem like Microsoft has fixed the battery degrading issue, we could be getting more updates in the future which might be able to fix the issues. To get the latest update on your Surface Pro 3, just head over to Settings > Update & Security and check for updates.
