The Puffin browser is a cloud-based browser previously only on iOS and Android which uses remote servers to help you download and render web pages incredibly fast, and without overusing your local resources.

It turns out slower PCs could also benefit from the cloud-based boost, and the company has now brought their browser to the Windows platform.

A bit like Opera Mini, the browser uses servers to pre-process and compress web pages and due to remote rendering does lot leave a trace on your PC. All traffic from Puffin app to Puffin server are encrypted, making it safe to use on public insecure WiFi networks.

A desktop rather than store app, the application is available on both Windows 7 and Windows 10.

The application can be downloaded from their website here.
