Nokia’s 3D maps are pretty spectacular, but who knew it was so true to reality it could be used to make a music video.
Paul Wex used a good graphics card and a screen recorder to create the above video using footage from Nokia’s 3D maps, which drapes textures recorded using aerial footage with 3D data recorded using laser LIDAR sensors, which can record up to 1.3 million points of digital information every second, producing the spectacular results seen in the video above.
Hopefully this super “street view” will make its way to our Windows Phone 8 handsets soon.
