Update: It’s been learned that the name “Sticky Notes” is now localized in many markets and the name ‘Memo’ is a localized name for the Sticky Notes app in Italy. Microsoft hasn’t changed in name in the USA and UK.

Original story:

Microsoft has pushed a new update to the Sticky Notes app or should I now call it ‘Memo‘ as Microsoft has changed the name of its task management app for Windows 10. Aside from changing the name and taking the app to version 3.7.60.0, the update introduces issues plenty of bug fixes and performance improvements. You can read the changelog below.

  • Change name – The app has been renamed to Memo.
  • Improved performance, accessibility and bug fixes.

Note, the new update is available only to Windows Insiders in the Fast and Skip Ahead ring, so if you’re running Windows 10 19H1 Update or older, you won’t get the update now. But since it’s available to Windows Insiders, you can expect to receive the update very soon.
