Spyro’s upcoming remake was heavily scrutinized back in August for only having one of the three games included on the disc. It appears that is still the case.

In a report by IGN, Activision confirmed that Spyro will still only have the first game available physically in its entirety. Certain levels from Spyro 2 and 3 will be on the disc, but you’ll have to download a Day One patch to be able to play them.

Activision said,

“The trilogy will ship with content from each of the three games, including the entire first game and a subset of levels from games 2 and 3. In order for the full Reignited Trilogy offerings, a day one update is required.”

This is a big disappointment to fans of physical media, as the actual disc has been rendered two-thirds useless. Those who don’t have access to an internet connection for Spyro’s launch should stay well away, as they will not have the means to play most of the title.

Spyro: Reignited Trilogy is available to pre-order on Xbox One for $39.99/£34.99.
